Change is a popular word in America and this is affected by the President election when Barack Obama won. For the first time in history there is a multicultural President who has grown up with his single mother and grandparents in Kansas. They didn't have a lot of money so Obama is used to have a hard time, which can be an advantage for him as President. This can be helpful especially now when the economy is bad and to buy some petrol costs a fortune.
Obama has promised change and the American people are expecting a new and better America. Of course some changes will come, but it will take several years before we can see the clearest consequence of the newly chosen President. One of the reasons for this is that it takes a while to change a country with approximate 300 million inhabitants (2006)1.
Earlier in the text I told you about the finance problem and Obama has said on his homepage that one thing that he is going to do to help the situation is to create new job opportunities so everybody can earn some money in these hard times.
Obama's slogan in the election campaign was change, so we can think that a change for the US and the people will be a huge consequence when Barack Obama is taking his place in office!
